Humanity ReFramed is a cultural event in Cairns that brings people together through storytelling, performance, and creative expression.

 It is a space for connection, participation, and shared human experience where identity, belonging, and community are explored through artist-led workshops, panel discussions, and immersive public engagement.

Whether you’re an artist, organisation, volunteer, or community member, there is a place for you in this event.

Who Can Get Involved

Artists & Creatives

We invite artists, performers, storytellers, and facilitators from all disciplines to contribute to the program.

This includes: Visual artists, Musicians and performers, Writers and spoken word artists, Cultural practitioners, Workshop facilitators.
If your work explores identity, lived experience, or connection, we want to hear from you.

Community Members

Humanity ReFramed is designed for everyone.

You can: Participate in workshops and conversations, Share your story or lived experience, Engage with performances and installations, Be part of a welcoming, inclusive cultural space.
No prior experience is needed just curiosity and openness.

Volunteers

Volunteers play a vital role in bringing the event to life.

You might help with: Event support and coordination, Welcoming and guiding attendees, Artist assistance, Set-up and pack-down.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience, meet people, and contribute to a meaningful community event.

We welcome collaboration with: Community groups, Cultural organisations, Health and wellbeing services, Educational institutions, Local businesses.
